Custom grip socks: your questions answered

Full-length socks are for football (soccer), rugby league, rugby union, Aussie rules (AFL) and field hockey. Performance athletic socks, a crew-height rib-knit sock, are for netball, athletics and basketball. Ankle socks are for pilates, gymnastics, yoga and the gym floor. Every type can have grip pads on the sole, or none.

Grip socks have rubber grip pads on the sole. On the field they help stop your foot sliding inside the boot; in a studio or a gym they hold on the mat or the floor. iGripps makes them in your club colours, with your club name and logo.

No. Our full-length socks are made to be worn as one sock, from the top of the leg to the toe, not cut down and worn over another sock. There is nothing to trim or tuck before the game.

Yes. We make socks for every level, from the first game in the U6s to elite players, and for schools as well as clubs. Sizes start at S.

Team orders start at 50 pairs. You can mix sizes, as long as each size you order has at least 50 pairs.

The price depends on the sock type, the quantity, the design and whether you want grip pads. Design your socks online and request a quote: we reply within one business day. Ask us about pricing for larger team orders.

Orders are usually made in 3 to 4 weeks, then posted to you. If you need socks for the start of the season, a carnival or a tournament, order early and tell us the date.

Yes. Gear managers can buy socks and re-sell them in school or club canteens, and we work hard to secure the best price and value for your re-selling.

Use the iGripps sock designer online. Pick the sock type, the colours and a pattern, add your club name and logo, choose the grip, then request a quote. You can share a link to the design with your committee before you order.

Yes. Every colour in the designer is a Pantone colour, so your socks are made in the colours you chose, not a near match.

Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG or SVG file of up to 4 MB in the designer, and place it on the front, on one side, on both sides or on the back of the leg, in small, medium or large. Logos are knitted in, so very fine detail and gradients may be simplified.

Yes. The name can run down the leg or across it, on both sides, one side, the front or the back. Up to 15 letters fit on a full-length sock and 10 on a performance athletic sock. Ankle socks are too short for a name, but it still goes on your quote.

Yes. Grip pads are optional on every sock type. Without grip, they are a custom team sock in your club colours.

Yes. The grip can match your club name colour, another colour in your design, or any colour you choose.

Every sock comes in S, M, L and XL. Full-length socks follow our own chart by foot length and shoe size (EU, UK and US). Performance athletic and ankle socks use standard athletic sizes, by men's and women's US and EU shoe size. See the size guide for the full charts.

Yes. Split your order across S, M, L and XL. Each size you order needs at least 50 pairs, and any number from 50 up is fine.
